Ok, with much room for improvement!
Basically the app is very usable, compared to a lot of the competition, which are mostly quite expensive. I use it for creating subtitle files for youtube videos. In order to be able to work fast, I wish for a snapping function for the subtitle “blocks” in the timeline. I need to place the subtitles frame accurate, and, as it ist now, spend too much time dragging the subtitle “blocks” to their right position / adjusting the length. Please make a snapping function, so that the position automatically snaps to the playhead position and the next or previous block. Numeric positioning of the subtitles in the video would also be a nice feature for many. There is a lack of this type of subtitle editors, and this one, to me, has some real potential. Hope to see the snapping in the next update! ;) Thanks!
Not bad but ...
Adding subtitles works good. The only point I miss is that I can’t add a background to my subtitles. The real problem is the export. I downloaded a video from youtube (.mp4) which was around 48MB. Added a subtitle and tried the export just to see how good it will be. The result was around the same size (slightly larger) but all the image quality was entirely gone. It was like a very poor recorded video. I tried to set the export parameter to the berst values possible which produced a much better video but it had still noticable less image quality than the original one and was over 200MB.
Funktionen OK, aber Watermark nervt
Das Editieren der Untertitel geht gut. Nur beim Video Erstellen wird dann eine Watermark eingefügt, die das Ergebnis nutzlos macht. OK zum Testen der Funktionen, aber nicht echt zu gebrauchen.
